Thermoforming Plastics The advantages and characteristics of the material

Thermoformed plastic inside the polyethylene terephthalate is the most important varieties of thermoplastic polyester, English called Polyethylene terephthalate referred to as PET or PEIT (hereinafter referred to as PET), commonly known as polyester resin. It is a polycondensate of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol, collectively referred to as a thermoplastic polyester, or a saturated polyester, together with PBT.

 Thermoformed plastics have the following advantages:

        4. Gas and water vapor permeability is low, both excellent gas barrier, water, oil and odor performance.

        5. High transparency, can block ultraviolet, good gloss.

        6. Non-toxic, tasteless, health and safety, and can be directly used for food packaging.

 Thermoformed plastic is milky white or light yellow highly crystalline polymer, smooth and shiny surface. Creep resistance, fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability, low wear and high hardness, with the greatest toughness in thermoplastic: electrical insulation performance, by the temperature of small, but poor resistance to corona. Non-toxic, weather resistance, good chemical stability, low water absorption, resistance to weak acid and organic solvents, but not hot water immersion, alkali.

 Thermoformed plastic resin has higher glass transition temperature, slow crystallization rate, long molding period, long molding cycle, large shrinkage of molding, poor dimensional stability, brittleness of crystallinity and low heat resistance.

    Through the nucleating agent and the improvement of crystallization and glass fiber, PET in addition to the nature of PBT, there are the following characteristics.

        1. Hot deformation temperature and long-term use temperature is the highest in thermoplastic general engineering plastics

        2. Because of the high heat resistance, enhanced PET in the 250 ℃ solder bath immersed in 10S, almost no deformation does not change color, especially suitable for the preparation of soldering electronics, electrical parts:

        3. Flexural strength of 200MPa, elastic modulus of 4000MPa, creep resistance and fatigue is also very good, high surface hardness, mechanical properties and thermosetting plastic similar.

        4. Because the production of ethylene glycol used in the production of PBT than the price of butaned alcohol is almost half cheaper, so PET resin and reinforced PET is the lowest price of engineering plastics, with a high price.
